Application
Begin by preheating the surface, ensuring it is clean, dry, and free from moisture. Remove the overbanding strips from their protective wrapping and carefully position them on the road surface. Using a propane torch, apply heat in a slow, sweeping motion, avoiding spot heating to prevent scorching the material. Continue heating until the strips begin to bubble and melt, indicating proper bonding. Allow the material to cool and harden for approximately 5–10 minutes before allowing traffic over it. Avoid applying in wet conditions, as insufficient heat or moisture can compromise adhesion and result in product failure.

The overbanding strips offered by Red Stag is produced with rosin ester blended with bitumen and various polymers along with a fine aggregate to achieve a SRV of >60 therefore complying with the requirements of the DMRB HD 31/94 Para.2.10/11
