EZ Street Polymer Modified Cold Asphalt is guaranteed to permanently repair road defects which transforms the way Local Authorities and Contractors undertake highway maintenance. The EZ Street Bulk Sack is suited for a huge range of projects which require more than a few 22kg bags. With the sack containing at least 850kg of EZ Street, this is an economical and environmentally responsible way of repairing road defects.
Applications
Ideally suited to repairing potholes, utility tracks, edge repairs or overlays, it’s the perfect material for a small crew with minimal equipment, allowing repairs to be completed quickly and the road reopened immediately.
Successful Application Examples Include:
- Pothole repair on Farm Roads, repairing defects on roads which are trafficked by tractors, farm equipment and cars.
- Utility Tracks where drainage pipes, water, electricity, telecommunications or gas services have been laid and require asphalt reinstatement.
- Edge Repairs where the edge on an existing roadway has been damaged and requires to be broken out and reinstated with EZ Street Asphalt.
- Roads Authority Pothole repair, who repair potholes daily throughout the year and wish to eliminate the use of single use plastics.
EZ Street Asphalt does not require the edges of the pothole to be saw cut and tack coat applied as the polymer additive within the product makes it adhere to the surrounding surfaces. If you wish to cut the edges, use a good quality diamond blade and remember to stay safe by suppressing the dust from the saw with water. You might want to consider sealing the joint surface of the repair with an BBA HAPAS Approved overbanding tape which can be heat applied.
Certifications & Approvals
The product is certified by British Board of Agrément (BBA) through its Highway Authorities Product Approval Scheme (HAPAS), the recognised scheme for ensuring products in the highway industry comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
Since October 2021, EZ Street Asphalt has been certified Carbon Neutral following a carbon assessment by an approved assessor. This has been made possible by the ultra-low energy production processes and the near elimination of hydrocarbons by utilising biofuels instead of traditional diesel.
