The Durakerb BN3 Bull Nose Kerb is a lightweight recycled polymer kerb designed for use as a border kerb or dropped kerb at pedestrian and vehicle crossing points. Its low-profile bull nose design provides a smooth kerb edge, making it particularly suitable for crossings, access points and areas where a reduced kerb upstand is required.
Manufactured from reprocessed polymers, the Durakerb range contains 88% recycled polymer content. This offers contractors, groundworkers and civil engineering projects a practical alternative to traditional concrete kerbing while increasing the use of recycled materials within highway and infrastructure schemes.
The BN3 measures 150mm high x 125mm wide x 914mm long and has a brochure-listed weight of approximately 3.5kg per unit. Its lightweight construction makes individual kerbs easier to handle, position and adjust on site compared with conventional concrete kerbs.
Durakerb BN3 kerbs can be installed with an upstand between 0mm and 40mm, making them suitable for creating lowered kerb sections at pedestrian crossings, vehicle entrances and other access points. The bull nose profile provides a rounded exposed edge and can be combined with Durakerb drop kerbs to create a transition from a standard full-height HB2 kerb to a lowered crossing point.
Like other products in the Durakerb range, the BN3 has been designed to work within traditional kerb and pavement construction. This allows it to be used as part of a complete Durakerb kerb line or alongside conventional kerbing where required.
